Geriatrician, Care of Older People in Surgery

Dr Christina Norris is a Geriatrician specialising in the care of older people who are contemplating or undergoing surgery. She is a Staff Specialist Geriatrician at the Prince of Wales Public Hospital and is responsible for delivering care to older surgical patients through the award-winning Care of Older People in Surgery (COPS) Service. Dr Norris is also a Consultant Geriatrician at Prince of Wales Private Hospital, where her rooms are located.  Dr Norris has a PhD from the University of New South Wales and Neuroscience Research Australia which focuses on improving outcomes for older surgical patients. Through her research, Dr Norris has been the recipient of grants through New South Wales Health and the local health district, as well as the recipient of several awards as an early career researcher. She is passionate about delivering holistic, coordinated and comprehensive care to older people as they navigate the perioperative period.
